I had a 1014 hydroswing years ago and it wouldn't. I found a photo of a 1160, on the internet. Looks to be roughly the same as 1014 (We own a 1014 ) I have to cut 4 rounds before going back and forth to have enough space to turn on the ends comfortably.Posted 19:39 (#3528937 - in reply to #3528915) Subject: Re: Hesston 1160 hydroswing mower questions (Pivot of 1160 hesston_ in paint program.jpg) Attachments - Pivot of 1160 hesston_ in paint program.jpg (33KB - 248 downloads) I'm wondering, IF a guy could get head set on trailer, with head lowered then unhook rear swing cylinder completely, then remove that big snapring (I believe it is a snapring ), then WITHOUT removing any hoses, just lift/wiggle the entire tongue assembly upward, about 1-1.5" ( just high enough to miss "weldstops" ) and be able to almost turn the entire tongue 80-90 degrees, onto the trailer. You may find that only 2 rounds on the opening doesn't give you enough room on the ends to turn when going back and forth. On the 12 foot model your looking at I'll bet the 450 will be just right. I pull it with an 856 and I bet the 450 would pull it but in heavier hay the 45 horses may not be enough. I have about $2400 in it after rebuilding it, but it will be all the swather I ever need going forward.
I have the 1014+2 14 foot wide I bought for $400. No big deal just take the time to plate and repair it right and it won't ever give you trouble again. The welding is probably the main frame cracking on the right side. If the pump or motor is weak it will be some $$ to have rebuilt.
